The
Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence sells lapel pins
to create awareness and support toward the end of violence. Lucinda
Yates was homeless in the early 1980s for a couple of years
and was a self-taught jewelry designer. She began to make the
House Pins® and sold them to boutiques and jewelry stores.
The proceeds she made went to the shelter that helped her during
her struggles. Lucinda began her own business, Designs by Lucinda,
in order to help non-profits throughout the United States and
the world create awareness for each agencys mission and
to raise funds. The pins are sold for $14.00 each with a portion
of the proceeds returning to CSADV and a portion going to help
a shelter in Maine. No two pins are alike. Each pin is individually
handcrafted to create a unique design.
CSADV
sells the following pin types. No two pins
are alike- the pictures are examples of each. Be sure to
check out our new golf and nuturing pins.
