Endowment
On
the journey from abuse to empowerment, CSADV helps create safe
passage...
But
what if there was no CSADV?
Every
year, CSADV helps hundreds of victims of domestic violence and
sexual assault in the greater Siouxland area put their
lives back together by providing support, advocacy, and a safe
environment. Through our many important services, we strive
to empower victims to become stronger and more self-sufficient.
With
that philosophy as a guiding force, and in the face of steadily
declining government funding, CSADV has taken an important step
to become financially stronger and more self-sufficient with the
establishment of an endowment fund.
For
too long, CSADV has operated at the mercy of available government
support that continues to diminish year after year. By seeking
private donations to establish an endowment, CSADV will continue
to provide critical support and services to victims of domestic
violence and sexual assault in Siouxland.
Our
ability to raise endowment funds over the next few years will
clearly impact the degree to which we can maintain and expand
our current level of services to victims and their families.
During
our long history, CSADV has been highly dependent on government
agencies for our operations. While there is no guarantee
that such support will be available in the future, we know that
there will always be a need for our services. That's why
it is imperative that we build an endowment fund through private
gifts.
Annual
interest from the endowment will be used to underwrite the valuable
programs of CSADV. Gifts to the endowment fund can be given through
cash, pledges of gifts for a three to five year period, gifts
of property, such as real estate, and estate gifts such as bequests,
charitable trusts, annuities, or life insurance.
