Training to become a certified volunteer advocate starts Sat. Oct. 3rd and runs every Saturday until Oct. 24th. Call 277-0131 and ask for the volunteer coordinator for more information.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We encourage you to stop by Southern Hills Mall on Thursday October 1st from 10am-8:30pm or Friday October 2nd from 10am-5pm to check out Katie Thompson's "Iowa Voices Project" photography exhibit. The display will feature 31 portraits of women from across Iowa who have experienced domestic violence along with their story. Robyn Lieber will be our guest speaker to talk about her experience with domestic violence on Oct. 1st from 7-8pm.
